CAPDM Becomes Vital

On May 1, 2026, the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM) became Vital, Canada’s Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Alliance, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s more than 60-year history.
The new name was shaped by members and reflects the association’s role in safeguarding, supporting, and advancing Canada’s pharmaceutical supply chain. As Vital, the organization continues to serve as the trusted alliance, advocate, and platform for distributors, manufacturers, service providers, and partners working together to ensure medicines reach Canadians safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Vital remains committed to advancing collaboration across the pharmaceutical supply chain, representing industry interests with government and healthcare stakeholders, and supporting policies that strengthen access to medicines for Canadians.
The transition to Vital reflects both the evolution of the organization and the increasingly important role Canada’s pharmaceutical supply chain plays in supporting the health and well-being of Canadians.
